There's nothing I could do, in order to save myself I had to cut you loose.

David Usher - Wake Up And Say Goodbye

It is very unfortunate that I'm such a slacker and rarely post songs these days. In my defense, I have been super busy. Decided to do a quick post today, because I just heard David Usher after SO long and it made me SO happy. I first heard him when he was part of the band Moist. Only knew one song by them (Breathe - really good...I think it was part of the Godzilla soundtrack. I swear the soundtrack was better than the actual movie). Anyway, I saw him perform at a small venue in university and it was so wonderful. He has an amazing voice - soothing and simple, and sounds awesome live. This is one of my faves of his. Couldn't find a good link on youtube, so I hope this one works. Just find the track and hit play. I hope you like it!

We can be heroes just for one day, we can be us just for one day

The Wallflowers - Heroes

I watched The Perks of Being a Wallflower a couple of weeks ago. Great movie, takes place in the 90's, and therefore has a phenom soundtrack. This song was what they referred to as the tunnel song, the song that made them feel infinite. The movie uses the original version by David Bowie, but I've decided to post the version I heard growing up. It reminds me of when the Godzilla movie came out because it was on the soundtrack. Pretty sure that soundtrack was better than the movie itself. Awkward.
